Fergie Joins the Team!! |

The Arun squad has been augmented by the arrival of a Massey Ferguson T20. This British veteran (known as 'Fergie') has been extensively restored and is now 'match fit' showing the sort of form that dumbfounded the opposition back in 1953.
Fergie joins a team already bristling with talent and with the prospect of further 'landmark' signings we here at Arun are looking forward to what promises to be an exciting 2011 - 2012 season!

Another Successful E-Type Restoration! |

Now 2011 is drawing to a close we would like to thank all our customers for a memorable year.
Classic car sales have remained buoyant throughout, especially the Jaguar E-Type market which has been re-invigorated by the 50th anniversary celebrations. In fact E-Type sales in October / November have topped a staggering £200,000 as individuals look for sensible investments or weekend thrills. This has ensured a very busy end to the year with negotiations, workshop preparations and handovers and we have been enjoying every moment.
Here is a picture of our latest successful restoration. This wonderful series 3 roadster in ‘Willow Green’ was passed over to its new lucky owner having received the professional attention of the Arun team. We think you’ll agree that it looks absolutely stunning.

Further to our success with Jaguar E-types, Arun are stocking other classics to suit all pockets. These are attracting world wide attention with our Alvis TB21 winging its way to New Zealand. Photographed here we have our latest Austin 7 which has sold to John F. Lehman in New York who has promised to send us a photo of the car in Manhattan. Watch this space!
We have recently sold a Ferrari to France, an Alvis to Auckland and Daimler to Dublin. Our cars seem to be spreading their wings all over the world! |

GOLF DAY IN AID OF THE DAME VERA LYNN TRUST |

Arun were very happy to be involved with a Golf Day organised by the Dame Vera Lynn Trust.
We put one of our Jaguar XJS Celebrations forward as a star prize so there was plenty to play for!
The day was a great success with over a dozen teams competeing and a fabulous dinner after the Golf with Christopher Martin - Jenkins as the guest speaker.
Much fun was had by all and more importantly plenty of money was raised for this worthy cause helping children with Cerebral Palsy.
The car was not won though and so is back for sale on our forecourt. |

E-TYPES AT ARUN |

We now have a fabulous selection of Jaguar E-types to suit all tastes and budgets ranging from £23,000 to £80,000. The E-type celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and already prices are rising before our eyes.
This is the last opportunity to buy this iconic sports car at a sensible price. They are already attracting premiums and with the added press they look like a sure fire investment - with savings rates at 1.75% this is surely safer and more enjoyable than money in the bank! |

Winter 2011 already, where has the year gone? Sales thankfully have remained very buoyant and the XK market still continues to flourish with good examples still hard to find. The new aluminium bodied cars are starting to look very good value with high mileage coupes selling at the low £20K mark.Also check out the huge value the XJ350, again aluminium bodied, saloons offer you; they are also very good on the fuel stakes.
The classic car scene has had a remarkable year with new price records being achieved at all levels , particularly Astons and E Types. This brings me onto XJSs. We along with several of the classic motoring press think that they have been overlooked and undervalued for some time, (possibly by the low price of the early XK8s ?) As it is nearly impossible to buy a good E for under £20k and MKIIs are making strong money and even MK tens are fetching very good prices (can't think why), the elegant and still comparativley cheap to buy and run XJS must be worth a punt, especially the convertible and celebration models.
The trick is to try and spot the next rising classic. Look at the little Austin 7; we sold a lot of these over the last year or two for well under £10k but not any more. At the last couple of classic auctions they were all making five figures plus and the special editions even more. Aston Martin DBs, both 6 and 12 cyl. models, are becoming rare and even the much maligned Virage has had some good write ups and are starting to climb. Not long ago a coupe could be bought for £12k ish but no longer. Please give Luis a ring for advice and he will help if at all possible. |

Craig and the lads are keeping very busy at our service centre so once again a big thank you to all our customers who continue to use our services
We have now started a complete tyre service and as well as very competitively priced tyres we can do wheel alignment and balancing.

We are still offering gas conversions to most petrol cars, well worth thinking about if you cover a few miles per annum.
Prices for converting most petrol engines are as follows:
4 cylinder engines: £1,500 + vat
6 cylinder engines: £1,750 + vat
8 cylinder engines: £2,000 + vat
8 cyl supercharged: £2,500 + vat
BREAKING NEWS!
Arun Service are currently testing Hydrogen fuel cells in their Jaguar loan cars. This will create huge fuel savings - please watch this space. |
